Well at least the weather is sunny.
The wind has blown the smoke away. Look out Nebraska. Yesterday it seemed like all of the Flint Hills were on fire. I went to my son’s track meet and the ashes were falling.
Next week is grape planting time. We are planting 150 new vines and we are having a planting party. Last years late freeze killed off a lot of vines. This year the deer are helping us with pruning. It’s time to leave the Labrador, Karl, out to guard the vines. He thinks he is so important.
Well, I have to finish a paper today.
Have a great day.

Welcome to my blog.
This is a way for me to ease into eventually developing a website for our vineyard and my studio work. My family has a few acres of grapes that were planted three years ago and we have been pruning and babying them. This fall we hope to harvest a few grapes.
I also am an artist. I work in a couple of different areas, mostly watercolor and glass fusing. I will be posting pictures of my work in the next few weeks.
The picture on site was taken out the window of our sunroom. The grapes are below it.
